Grey's Anatomy Sneak Peeks: McDreamy Versus the Tumor, or...Dempsey-palooza!
This is so cute. Meredith Grey is out of commission (officially because she donated an organ to her daddio, unofficially because Ellen Pompeo was having a kid), so not only is Patrick Dempsey's Dr. Derek Shepherd getting the lead-character spotlight to himself this week on Grey's Anatomy, he's getting the voice-over!
Pompeo does the Anatomy voice-over the overwhelming majority of the time, but now and again the spotlight shifts to another character's point of view.
This week Dempsey takes the lead, as Derek faces down an inoperable supertumor that has the hospital aflutter with excitement and as the Chief (James Pickens Jr.) feels increasingly threatened by McDreamy's surgical confidence and administrative prowess.

T.R. Knight: Anatomy of Breakup

Rosie O'Donnell isn't the only one this morning whose love is on the rocks.
Sources confirm that T.R. Knight and his boyfriend of about two years, Mark Cornelsen, have called it quits.
"It's amicable," one source says of the breakup, which was first reported by In Touch. "It was just a normal breakup. It just ran its course."

Grey's Won't Go Grey-less

This Post-it Note just in! Meredith Grey won't go missing from Seattle Grace after all.
Sources confirm that Ellen Pompeo is expected to return to the set of Grey's Anatomy "very soon" after giving birth to baby girl Stella Luna Sept. 15. Thanks to her early return, as well as her willingness to preshoot scenes before the birth (most of which took place in bed after Meredith's liver surgery in last night's ep), it is working out that not a single episode will go Meredith Grey-less.
Pretty good news for Meredith and Derek fans, right?
As for all you Owen and Christina fans who are freaking out over rumors of trouble in paradise...

T.R. Knight Has a Very Good Reason Why He's Not Watching Grey's Anatomy

T.R. Knight hasn't really been keeping up with Grey's Anatomy.
And it has nothing to do with not being on the show anymore or even the not-so-nice ending he had with Grey's creator Shonda Rhimes.
"Right now I'm working on a house so the TV is in a box, so unfortunately I don't know a lot of what's going on right now," Knight told us yesterday at L.A.'s Mark Taper Forum theater, where he's starring in the musical Parade (opening on Sunday, Oct. 4). "I have to catch up."
He did, however, manage to catch the season premiere. What did he think? Keep reading to find out…
Future Tense? Not for FlashForward

FlashForward, Grey's Anatomy, The Mentalist and CSI: Which show didn't the future look bright for last night?
First, let's run down what the answer isn't.
• It's not FlashForward, even if the all-new Lost was asked to lead off ABC's Thursday against CBS' Survivor: Samoa and Fox's Bones. In the most impressive launch of the week, FlashForward won the 8 p.m. hour with 12.4 million viewers, per preliminary Nielsen estimates.
• It's not Grey's Anatomy, even if financially strapped Seattle Grace itself is in downsizing. The show's two-hour sixth-season premiere ruled the night with 16.8 million gathered for Dr. O'Malley's memorial.
• And, nope, it's The Mentalist, even if last season's freshman hit fell flat in its sophomore premiere—not to mention its new night and time—with a big, but disappointing 14.3 million. Still, the show may rebound as soon as next week when it goes up against Private Practice, and not Grey's, at 10 p.m.
And that means the answer—and the winner of the cloudiest future—is:

Grey's Anatomy resident Ellen Pompeo and her music-producer hubby Chris Ivery are first-time parents after giving birth to a baby girl Sept. 15 in Los Angeles, her rep confirms to E! News.
The prognosis is peachy. The newbie, Stella Luna Pompeo Ivery (just like the kids book!) and mom are said to be doing fine.
Pompeo, 39, and and Ivery, 41, began dating in 2003 (before she landed the titular job on ABC's hit Grey's Anatomy) and got hitched in 2007.
