Rita Ora did not have a nip slip on live TV, nor did she whip out a bare boob in front of a studio audience.

She did, however, show some cleavage during her appearance on BBC's The One Show Tuesday, and a number of viewers at home were not happy about it. After nearly 400 reported complaints' about the singer and Fifty Shades of Grey star's low-cut blouse, the BBC issued an apology.

A statement on The One Show's website reads: "We're sorry to those of you who were offended by Rita's choice of outfit on The One Show on 5 January. If we had been consulted on it we would have requested she wore something more suitable for 7pm."

The 22-year-old star, who appeared on the program to promote the upcoming season of The Voice U.K., has yet to publicly react to the cleavage criticism or its aftermath. She knew, though, when she replaced Kylie Minogue as the show's fourth judge, that she was bound to face some harsh criticism.

"Opinions are going to come from everywhere. I mean they already have been, but this time they will be 10 times more intense," she told Newsbeat in an interview before her controversial appearance on The One Show. "I've got to come to the reality, I am going to be an open book for the public."

"I have said to myself, 'I can only be myself,'" she went on. "If I was to be someone else, it would come out that I was lying because you can't be fake for eight hours straight while they are filming. You'll start to get exhausted."

Rita, who joins fellow judges will.i.am, Tom Jones and Ricky Wilson, told Newsweek she's "ready for the ups and downs" that come with the gig.

And already, boob-gate's delivered some curves!
