Robert Pattinson is taking his handsome face on the road in his new film Life!

And we've been keeping up with his adventures on set.

This time, he's getting doused with fake rain while filming an emotional scene, yet he remains dapper in the downpour like the professional hottie actor he is.

R.Pattz plays esteemed Life magazine photographer Dennis Stock, who takes James Dean on a traveling photo shoot in 1955—the same year as the iconic actor's tragic death.

A friendship forms during their trek from Los Angeles to New York to Dean's hometown of Fairmount, Ind. In the brooding shot below, the dashing duo head to the train station on the final leg of their camera-ready route.

Pattinson's costar (Dane DeHaan) tweeted Life's first-look movie still Thursday. The backseat driver stars as the legendary Dean and is best known for his The Place Beyond the Pines performance. He will also be taking a turn as the Green Goblin in the forthcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

DeHaan captioned the pic "It's not easy being Dean," but the biopic's director, Anton Corbijn, begs to differ.

He told Entertainment Weekly that the similarities between the two actors make the role a perfect fit, saying "Dane is really interesting. He has a beautiful face, but it's a hard face to grasp. It's hard to see how Dane reads sometimes, and the same thing goes for James Dean."

And what did the Dutch filmmaker have to say about our drenched gent who's getting his beautiful head of hair tousled by raindrops?

"Rob has an intensity that I think Dennis would have. When I see Rob, I see an inner turmoil that is great for the role."
