Drake and Rihanna are just friends.

The "Hold On, We're Going Home" rapper tells Rolling Stone he decided to skip the Grammy Awards on Jan. 26 to party with the "What Now" singer in West Hollywood. According to Drake, their once romantic relationship is now strictly platonic—even though he calls Rihanna "the ultimate fantasy."

"I mean, I think about it. Like, 'Man that would be good.' We have fun together. She's cool and s--t.  But we're just friends," the former Degrassi star, 27, says of Rihanna, 25. "That's my dog for life."

Drake doesn't have a girlfriend, and he says he's not chasing after girls like did three years ago.  "I haven't met somebody that makes everybody else not matter," the "Worst Behavior" rapper insists.

But back to the Grammys—why was Drake M.I.A.?

"It becomes more apparent how irrelevant our genre is to them. They were trying to utilize me to sell the show, requesting me to come and perform 'Hold On, We're Going Home,' but they didn't nominate it for anything!" he reveals. "They're calling me, e-mailing me every day to do some elaborate performance and bring them viewers, but I didn't get a nomination for Album of the Year [for Nothing Was the Same]. I didn't get a nomination for Song of the Year."

Rihanna, who also skipped the show, won Best Urban Contemporary Album for Unapologetic.

Weeks after the "What's My Name?" collaborators partied together at 1Oak, they met up at another West Hollywood hotspot, Hooray Henry's, on Feb. 7. And while there was no PDA involved, a source told E! News at the time that the musicians "were happy together" and looked "very cute."
