The first poster of Angelina Jolie portraying the villainess Maleficent, the evil force who puts a curse on Princess Aurora (aka Sleeping Beauty), was a fantastic teaser for the upcoming film. And now, we have our first live peek via a trailer of the Disney fairytale, which made its highly anticipated debut on Wednesday, Nov. 13.

The short but action-packed clip tells the story and shows the dark and mysterious world where the sorceress lives and rules. We finally hear Jolie's voice when she emerges from the shadows after the blond and beautiful Aurora, portrayed by Elle Fanning, asks Maleficent to come out and reveal herself. The Oscar winner looks absolutely flawless in her scary glory, with her telltale horns, stunning blood-red lips, pale white complexion and glowing green and yellow eyes.

Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, who makes her big screen debut as a young version of Princess Aurora, is seen chasing a butterfly while running through a lush green field.

In addition to Jolie and Fanning, Sam Riley, Miranda Richardson, Sharlto Copley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville star in the movie, which is more or less the untold origin story of the eponymous villain, and tells the tale of just how Maleficent's heart hardened and turned her into the sorceress who cursed baby Aurora.

Along with the teaser trailer, three photos from the dark live-action fantasy flick were also released.

The first shows Jolie, in her first on-screen role since The Tourist in 2010, peering out from her chilling and frosty environment. She looks positively fierce and bundled up in a chic black ensemble and her trademark horns.

In the second photograph, Fanning appears radiant as she touches a bright fairy.

The last photograph shows Fanning approaching the notable spinning wheel and spindle.

Maleficent hits theaters May 30, 2014. Are you excited to see Angie play evil?! Sound off in the comments!
