It's not easy being a top model.
Just ask Cara Delevingne, who graces the September cover of W magazine.
Sure, the fact that she's fronting the coveted September issue of one of fashion's premiere glossies, and booking campaigns with major brands such as Burberry, DKNY and Saint Laurent may make it seem like the model-of-the-moment is easily rising to the top, but she reveals her jet-setter lifestyle isn't always so glamorous.
Like when she recently traveled to Greece and found herself feeling downright depressed.
"In Greece, it was a lot of couples, and I felt alone, which made me sad," she confessed in an interview with the magazine.
Thankully, Delevingne has a handful of A-list friends who can relate—and dole out helpful advice.
"I called Rihanna," she revealed. "She said, ‘It's easy to drown yourself in work. That's a form of escapism. So, if you're alone and you want to cry, cry.' And I did. But by then, it was time to leave and get back to my life."
And when the stresses of walking the catwalk get to her, the Brit beauty has called on another famous English model: Kate Mosss.
When the 20-year-old's psoriasis started flaring up in the midst of super-hectic Fashion Week, Moss was there to lend a helping hand.
"Kate [Moss] saw me before the Louis Vuitton show at 3 a.m., when I was being painted by people to cover the scabs," Delevingne shared. "She said, ‘This is horrible! Why is this happening? I need to help you.' She got me a doctor that afternoon; Kate gives really good advice."
But don't think Delevingne constantly needs guidance from her fab mentors. The rising star definitely has big plans for herself.
"I want to make music, I want to act, I want to sing, I want to do something that doesn't make my skin erupt," she said.
She already made her big screen debut with a role in 2012's Anna Karenina, and is even rumored to have auditioned for a role in Fifty Shades of Grey.
And, apparently, she's had her eye on acting since she was a little girl, when she asked her parents for an agent as a present.
"I wanted to be a Disney Channel star!" she said. "I wanted to be Hannah Montana. They said no!"
