No matter what life throws his way, Michael B. Jordan is learning how to roll with the punches.
This includes figuring out how to navigate a breakup in the public eye. Months after his relationship with Lori Harvey came to an end, the Creed star shared how he processed the high-profile split.
"I mean, I think for me, it's just I was lucky enough to have a lot of work, you know?" he said in a recent interview with Gayle King for CBS Mornings. "And I'm a firm believer of what's for you is for you. And coming out of that situation—not to give it any energy and kinda move from that is—it was an experience for me to grow and learn."
And Michael is looking forward to the future. "I'm in my light right now," he added. "This is my Jordan year. I mean that. This is my year. There's so much going on—so many blessings, so many great things. This is at a point in my career where there's not a lot of people telling me no and everything's wide open."
News of Michael and Lori's split broke in June 2022, a year and a half after the actor and the model first sparked romance rumors.
Michael addressed his breakup with Lori—who's been fueling dating speculation with Damson Idris—while hosting Saturday Night Live on Jan. 28.
"Most people after a breakup are like, 'I'm gonna get in better shape.' But I was already in Creed shape," the 35-year-old, who recently starred in and directed Creed III, said during his opening monologue. "So I had to be like, 'All right, I guess I'll learn a new language.' Anyway, estoy en Raya."
But to anyone hoping to find him on the app, sorry, he told Gayle he was just joking about being on it. Although, the CBS host did offer to play matchmaker.
"Send 'em my way," Michael replied. "It's OK."
