DJ AM is at rest.

Shortly after 3 p.m., guests began to congregate at Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary in West Los Angeles for a private funeral service honoring the celebrity spinner otherwise known as Adam Goldstein.

Travis Barker and actor Scott Caan were among those spotted arriving, while Goldstein's mother, Andrea Gross, were later seen leaving the grounds following the intimate service.

A friend of the Goldstein family told E! News, which was first to confirm the funeral plans Wednesday, that the service and ensuing burial were for "family only," but obviously "family" also encompassed those who were especially close to AM.

Close to three dozen chairs were set up under a canopy toward the rear of the cemetery. A back gate was covered with a tarp, presumably to keep the paparazzi who encircled the area from seeing too much.

AM was interred in one of the city's most prominent Jewish cemeteries, near the graves of Jack Benny, Milton Berle and Michael Landon.

Family and celebrity pals are also expected to turn out Thursday night for a memorial service at the Hollywood Palladium.

Goldstein, 36, was found dead in his New York apartment last Friday. Initial reports suggest he died from an overdose (accidental or otherwise), though an official cause of death won't be made for several weeks.
