Is that who we think it is?

Matthew McConaughey exchanged his beach body for a beer belly when he filmed scenes for his upcoming movie, Gold, this past week in New York City.

As cameras rolled, the Oscar-winner showed off his new costume that consisted of a dad bod, gray suit and tropical printed tie. He completed the look with a brief case, cigarette and a pocket square.

For those who went straight to the face, you may have likely noticed McConaughey's new hairstyle that featured a longer look in the back but a bit of balding on the top. Don't worry, ladies. Again, it's just for the new movie.

Gold, which is set to hit theaters in 2016, tells the story of Kenny Wells (McConaughey) who is a struggling businessman trying to get back on his feet. His financial situation later brings him to the Indonesian jungle in search of gold.

Fans of the Dallas Buyer's Club and Magic Mike star know all too well that the actor isn't afraid to transform his figure and physique for a movie role.

When recently asked about fitness, the 45-year-old admitted that his regimen depends on what roles he's involved in at the time.

"For me, I go whatever the role that I'm playing needs," he shared while supporting his Just Keep Livin clothing line. "So if I'm doing an action movie or a football player, I go to the gym and hit weights."

He added, "I haven't done anything like that in years so I haven't really picked up a weight in four years."
