Every mom-to-be needs a "go bag" packed and ready for when she heads to the hospital to give birth—and that includes Kate Middleton!

When the pregnant royal goes into labor (with a July 14 due date, it could be any day now), she's expected to check into her suite in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital.  And while the luxury accommodations are quite literally fit for a queen, the hospital also recommends several items Kate and hubby Prince William should bring.

First and foremost, the expectant couple should bring her "maternity notes and birth plan."  (We're assuming Kate's medical team—led by Dr. Marcus Setchell, Queen Elizabeth II's former gynecologist, with Dr. Alan Farthing, the queen's current gynecologist and surgeon, assisting—will have this covered, but the prepared princess will probably bring along a copy as well.)

Kate should also pack some clothing, including a dressing gown and slippers, nightshirts, pajamas, socks and T-shirts (front-opening shirts are recommended because they're useful in the early days of breast-feeding), nursing bras and an outfit for both mom and baby to wear home from the hospital. She should also pack a baby blanket, a pair of socks or booties, a baby hat and two or three baby sleep suits for the tiny prince or princess.

Although the Lindo Wing provides an extensive and nutritious menu, catering to each individual's dietary requirements, it's recommended that patients pack some extra snacks and drinks.

Each suite is equipped with a satellite TV, a radio, a safe, bedside phone, Internet access and a fridge, but patients are encouraged to pack any books, magazines, games or music they would like to help pass the time.

NEWS: Kate and Will's baby will have a royal BFF!

Of course, Kate should bring her own hairbrush and toiletries, any medication she takes as well as insurance documents (if appropriate). It's recommended she and Wills have a small amount of cash on them and leave any valuables behind. While each room has a safe, the hospital does not accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal property.

Might be a good idea to leave the fine jewels back at the palace!
