After those pesky rumors a few months ago that Mary-Louise Parker was leaving Weeds, we decided to go straight to the source to clear things up.

Looks like MLP is in it for the long haul—as long as Weeds has a following. In fact, the mere thought of the show coming to a close is unbearable for the actress. "Sometimes when I think about the show ending I get sad. I just can't imagine what it's going to be like."

So when exactly will that be? Needless to say, we dug a bit deeper when Mary-Louise brought up the subject of Weeds' longevity...

Said Mary-Louise, "We for sure have one more year, so I don't have to be sad yet. I can smile a little bit longer." And what about the pot-slingin' mama staying on for the future seasons inevitably ordered by Showtime?

"I would stay on, but at a certain point it would get a little bit tired," mused MLP. "It'd be like, we don't need to see Nancy and Andy running around in their 60s." No? Sounds pretty awesome to us.

The actress continued, "I think it will depend on how this season goes, as to whether or not it will have a little velocity for staying around a little longer."

No doubt the amazingness that is the cast and crew of Weeds has a little something to do with Mary-Louise's eagerness to stay onboard. "There's really not a lemon in the bunch," bragged the star.

It seems like the prerequisite for joining the Weeds family is simple: Be incredible. As Mary-Louise has told us over the past few weeks, it's basically a big lovefest on the set, and she is head over heels for costars like Elizabeth Perkins, Justin Kirk and Guillermo Díaz.

Her final sentiments? "Hopefully we won't blow it." Doubtful, since Weeds started season five off with a bang and is still going strong.

Will you be sticking around for a season six and beyond? Now that you know MLP is on board, we sure hope so. Sound off below!
