Rob Pal on Leighton Hookup: "Seriously Doubt That"

What's up with Pattinson and Meester? Our sources don't see it the way the tabs do

According to In Touch and Perez Hilton, Robert Pattinson has been stepping out on Kristen Stewart with Gossip Girl cutie Leighton Meester.

Per the rag mag's "source," who claims Rob was seen entering Meester's apartment building in New York one night and not leaving until the following morning:

"[Rob] ducked out of the building and hopped into a waiting car. He apparently spent the night with Leighton, and didn't want anyone to know! She's having a texting romance with him, and is so into it. She talks with Rob almost daily."

Well, guess who happens to have a spy inside Leighton's building?

We do! And here's what our posh NYC insider has to say:

"I seriously doubt that happened. I haven't heard anything about it, and trust me, this building is filled with gossips!"

For those of you Twi lovah's still trusting a magazine that currently has Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston hooking up, an insider close to Rob also says the Gossiped-about hookup is so not true.

"I don't even think they know each other," dishes a bud.

Jeez, who is poor Pattinson going to be linked with next?

Since Nikki Reed is still superdistant from any Robsten situation, we're going to go with Dakota Fanning. Once those hounded kids are back on set for Breaking Dawn, we wouldn't put it past tab's to rile stuff up. We can see it now: "Kristen betrayed! BFF Dakota Fanning Goes After Rob!"
