Double Shot of Love Twin: "Prognosis Is Good"
The worst may be over for one-half of the MTV's Ikki twins.
Erica "Rikki" Mongeon, who along with sister Victoria "Vikki" Mongeon comprise the dating pool on Double Shot of Love, is already walking around roughly a week after doctors took her out of a medically induced coma.
"Rikki is recovering but will be in hospital for awhile," her rep tells E! News. "She is walking with a walker and wearing a helmet to protect her head.
"Prognosis is good, prayers still welcome and encouraged."
Mongeon suffered serious head injuries earlier this month after a car she was a passenger in collided with a semi near Bakersfield, Calif. Vikki did not suffer any injuries, but has remained by her sister's side through her recovery.

Double Shot of Love Twin Taken Out of Coma
Forget a Double Shot of Love—Erica "Rikki" Mongeon may be getting a second shot at life.
The manager for half of MTV's love-seeking reality twins told E! News that Mongeon has been taken out of the medically induced coma she was placed in last week after suffering serious head injuries in a car crash.
"We did hear they have taken Rikki out of her coma," the rep said, declining to go into further detail on her recovery.
Rikki was originally expected to emerge from the coma on Friday, but her manager said that doctors decided to wait a few days because the swelling in her brain failed to subside after they took her off of her medication.
Her costar sister, Victoria "Vikki" Mongeon, has remained by her twin's side throughout the ordeal (save for a TV interview or two) and has asked for prayers and support from the public.

Double Shot at Love Twin in Coma After Serious Smashup
Erica "Rikki" Mongeon still has a shot at survival.
The MTV star, who presided over A Double Shot at Love with twin Victoria "Vikki" Mongeon, is in a medically induced coma Wednesday after being seriously injured in a car crash, a rep for the sisters tells E! News.
The girls were passengers in a Volkswagen Jetta when it collided with a semi near Bakersfield, Calif. The driver and Vikki did not suffer any major physical trauma.
"Right after the accident everybody was feeling OK, but Rikki had a bump on her head and nobody thought it was a big deal, but for just for the heck of it they went to the hospital," rep Rick Brown said.
"Then the doctors did a test that said she had bleeding in her skull. She never felt bad, like you would expect, but they put her into a medically induced coma and will keep her down until Friday. The plan is to bring her out of the coma on Friday and take it from there."
Vikki has been by Rikki's side throughout, Brown says, and "would appreciate prayers for her sister."
"Under the conditions, Vikki is doing well," he said. The twins "are two peas in a pod."
As far as the accident goes, Brown said that the Mongeons' car hit a tire in the road and, when the driver tried to pull over, the truck hit them from behind.
Eerily enough, one of the contestants on Double Shot, Kandice "Kandi" Hutchinson, was killed in a car accident shortly after production wrapped. The series' second episode was dedicated to her.

Burt Reynolds Heart Scare
He's survived Deliverance, endured the Cannonball Run and made it through The Longest Yard. Now Burt Reynolds is looking to bounce back from some serious ticker trouble.
The former box-office champ is recovering from quintuple bypass surgery.
Reynolds, 74, had the operation last week, according to Entertainment Tonight, and is now back at his Florida home with 24-hour nursing care.
The Hollywood icon has battled other health issues in recent years, including back surgery that led a prescription pill addiction and trip to rehab in 2009.
Crystal's Health Scare Makes Way for the Men on American Idol
It was supposed to be ladies' night Tuesday on American Idol, but a medical emergency had it raining men.
Crystal Bowersox, 24, required a trip to the hospital today due to complications related to diabetes, and was ordered by a doctor to not perform tonight.
So, the folks at Idol have willingly obliged (perhaps because Crystal was one of the few positive standouts last week) and will send the top 10 guys onstage tonight instead. The top 10 ladies will perform tomorrow night.

Gary Coleman Suffers Another Seizure
At least this is different than a stroke.
Gary Coleman suffered a seizure while shooting an interview for The Insider earlier today.
According to the show's website, he received immediate attention from Dr. Drew Pinsky, who was sitting beside him at the time. Paramedics were called and he was transferred to the hospital.
The former Diff'rent Strokes star is currently in stable condition.
Meanwhile, The Insider has promised it will not be airing or releasing any of the footage of Coleman's collapse.
This year is turning out to be an eventful one for the diminutive actor. It began with another trip to the hospital for a "minor seizure." He was released following some routine testing. Not long after, he was arrested for domestic violence, thrown in the slammer and then released on bail.
All this, not to mention that thing with his penis. Yikes!

Louis Gossett Jr.: I Have Cancer
Some sad news from an Oscar-winning actor.
Louis Gossett Jr., who took home the golden prize in 1982 for An Officer and a Gentleman, announced today that he's been diagnosed with the early stages of prostate cancer.
The 73-year-old claims he wants the world to know "to set an example for the large number of African-American men who are victims of this disease because of the comparatively low emphasis in our community on preventative examinations and early treatment," he told KTLA News in Los Angeles. "I want to influence them to seek, as I have, the fine medical care and early detection now available."
Here's hoping he has a speedy recovery.

Deadliest Catch's Captain Phil "Shows Good Signs," Salty as Ever After Stroke
Phil Harris has survived crabbing on the Bering Sea. He apparently isn't going to let a stroke keep him down.
The crusty crab-boat captain of Deadliest Catch fame is out of emergency surgery and, according to his family, as salty as ever following a stroke last Friday.
"Today, dad showed some good signs of improvement, squeezing our hands and even summoning his trademark captain's bluntness by telling the doctors and nurses, 'Don't f--k up,' " sons Josh and Jake reported Wednesday on the Discovery Channel show's site.
"We are encouraged but still very cautious. It is a long road ahead, but its made more bearable and comforting knowing your thoughts and prayers are with us. We are strong because of you—our fans."
