It's superhero movie day around here.

First comes the news that Joss Whedon has begun production on The Avengers, and now I can tell you that the new Spider-Man flick is finally going to wrap up...

"We leave tomorrow for New York," Spidey starlet Emma Stone told me last night at Louis Vuitton on Rodeo Drive, where she, Freida Pinto and Ashley Greene were being feted for their new Glamour magazine cover.

"We're doing exteriors in New York for a couple of weeks, so it'll be done in mid-May,' she continued before laughing, "So, yeah, it was only a six-month shoot."

Is she signed for the sequel that's reportedly already being developed? "I'm not supposed to say anything," Stone said sweetly. "I hate that."

Does her character, Gwen Stacey, survive in the pic? Gwen famously died and was replaced by clone in the Spidey comic books.

"I can't answer anything," she said (again in the sweetest way!). "I'm not allowed."

But Stone is allowed to gush over her costar Andrew Garfield. "He's so much fun," she said. "He's the coolest, the best. He's going to be amazing. I mean, he has to be—after all, it is called The Amazing Spider-Man."

Meanwhile, Pinto admitted she wasn't necessarily the biggest fan of the Planet of the Apes series before signing on for the upcoming reboot, Rise of the Planet of the Apes. "I have to be honest," she said. "When I was little, I watched it and burst out laughing because I thought it was the funniest thing I had ever seen."

Also at last night's party were Emma Roberts, Brad Pitt's Tree of Life costar Jessica Chastain (more on her later!), Paula Patton, singer Sara Bareilles, Glamour Editor-in-Chief Cindi Leive and Louis Vuitton veep Charles Delapalme.
