The first stop on tonight's soiree schedule is Maxim's bash for covergirl Ashley Greene at Avenue in New York City.
Avenue is same spot where I spotted Rob Pattinson and Kristin Stewart getting cozy last week, but we won't get a repeat performance tonight. Robsten has returned to L.A., so we'll have to make do without them. At least Chaske Spencer is in attendance, representing the New Moon wolfpack.
While Ashley doesn't arrive until an hour and a half past the start time, the guest of honor appears looking hot in a black cap sleeve dress and rocking some cleavage.
The Twilight Saga's Alice Cullen tells me about her transformation from vampire to vamp for the mag's cover....
"I think the fact that she is a vampire and she is indestructible is that edgy sexy part of her. In real life, I don't really have that," she said. "The cover...I absoutely adore it and I don't think it could have come out any better for me. I'm very much a Jacksonville beach girl. I love jean shorts, T-shirts, the beach."
After doing the press line and striking sultry poses, Ash heads for her VIP table on the upper level, but later comes back downstairs to mingle with partygoers.
Just a few blocks away, Rihanna arrives for her record release party at 10:45 while Nylon's fete at 1Oak is getting packed as Leighton Meester shows up to support Cobra Starship.
