Abuse Us Some More, Rob Pattinson!

Robert Pattinson, Ellen DeGeneres Michael Rozman/Warner Bros.
More from The Awful Truth

This is too friggin' funny. While Robert Pattinson taped a segment for the The Ellen DeGeneres Show (airing Friday), he asked a fan to strip off her clothes. And she did!

"I was doing a preinterview for this [show], and I immediately regretted saying that," the awkwardly adorable R.Pattz says. "I sound like I'm actually just abusing my position.

"It was after a period of signing 500 signatures, and one of [the fans] just came up. You kind of get 10 seconds with each person and you never really say anything, and I kind of got bored of saying, 'Hey, how are you doing?' And [the fan] said in her 10 seconds, 'What can I do to get your attention?' I was like, 'Um, just take your clothes off.' And she stood there and frantically started taking her clothes off and got dragged out of the room by security. I never felt more terrible."

This makes us love Rob 10 times more! Perverted, huh? We would start messing with fans, too, after a while. Actually, we're shocked R.Pattz hasn't done it more. He has so much power over these helpless ones! Might as well make it entertaining.

John Travolta and Daughter Ella Smile for Ellen

John Travolta, Ella Travolta, Ellen Degeneres Ellen Degeneres Show

John Travolta, nearing the end of the toughest year of his life, was able to put on a happy face today.

"I just want to take one moment to thank each and every one of you throughout this country, throughout the world, for all your support and all your love for our family. Thank you very much," Travolta said to kick off his interview with Ellen DeGeneres, which airs tomorrow.

The actor's 9-year-old daughter—and Old Dogs costar—Ella Bleu was also in the house, making her first-ever talk show appearance.

Having sat out the publicity tour for The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3, this was Travolta's first TV interview since he and Kelly Preston lost their 16-year-old son, Jett, in January.

Talking about Ella's good work alongside him (and her mom) and Robin Williams in the family comedy Old Dogs, a beaming Travolta couldn't keep his pride inside.

"I'm holding back the tears," he said.

"No, really you're not," Ellen deadpanned, offering up a box of tissues.

Ellen DeGeneres Finally Gets Her O

O Magazine, Oprah, Ellen Courtesy O, The Oprah Magazine

After launching her massive "O, Yes I Can!" campaign to get on the cover of O magazine and Oprah then granting this wish way back in March, we finally have the actual glossy featuring Ellen DeGeneres looking superexcited to pose with the great O.

So was it worth the wait? Well, the December issue marks only the second time the daytime talk-show queen has ever shared the cover with another human. Michelle Obama being the first.

And Ellen even one-ups the first lady with a double cover:

Taylor Not So Swift on Her Feet After Ellen's Spookapalooza

Why in the world would anyone want to take down Taylor Swift?

For a good laugh, of course! It was a week of silly scares on The Ellen Degeneres Show, and the leading lady pulled out all the Halloween stops to spook the stars who stopped by—the most memorable being America's sweetheart.

Setting up a hidden camera-filled, fake green room for guests, Ellen hid in the bathroom and and jumped out at the unsuspecting celebs. Poor Taylor was beyond terrified and after letting out an adorable screech (as only Taylor could do), she ended up face-down on the floor.

Check out Ellen's other freaked out folks below, including David Spade, Lauren Graham and Mario Lopez—plus a chivalrous late-night talk show host who comes to the funnylady's rescue.

The Force Is With Today, Unlike Vamp'd Up View

Meredith Viera doesn't like it when Ewoks grab her backside.

"Don't touch my butt," she scolded as the frisky, troll-like creatures put a minor hitch in the otherwise impressive Today show Halloween on the Plaza that went back in time to Star Wars circa 1977.

Viera was dressed as Princess Leia, Matt Lauer was Luke Skywalker, Al Roker as Han Solo, Erin Burnett as Padmé Amidala and Kathy Lee Gifford as R2-D2. Ann Curry breathed new life into Darth Vader, while Hoda Kotb was "Yoda, I am."

The lucky morning talkers were able to score props and costumes from Lucas Films and the authenticity of the setup was, as Curry said, "cool."

Of course, the early risers played up the theme, kicking off the segment with a video complete with scrolling text.

Katharine McPhee: I Wouldn't Be Surprised If Simon Ditched American Idol, Too

More from Marc Malkin

Katharine McPhee wasn't exactly shocked to learn that Paula Abdul was leaving American Idol.

"It doesn't surprise me, because it wouldn't surprise me if Simon Cowell was leaving the show," McPhee told me at last night's benefit concert for the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank and Feeding America.

"They've all been on the show for so many years…Do what you've got to do," she said. "People try to figure out the real stories and I'm like, 'Who cares? She wants to go.' "

In fact, McPhee thinks it's time for the show to shake things up a bit with someone like Ellen DeGeneres...

Adam Lambert Swears He's No Idol Puppet

American Idol, Adam Lambert Ray Mickshaw / FOX

Adam Lambert is like a modern-day Braveheart.

American Idol and 19 Entertainment may be putting out his debut album, but they're not taking his creative freedom—or so he claims.

"I think there's a little bit of a misconception out in the public that people that come out of American Idol are puppetted and kind of controlled," he tells E! News exclusively. "That hasn't been my experience one bit. They've been completely supportive and collaborative with me and all the powers that be are really trying to facilitate my artistic vision."

In addition to working with A-list producers RedOne (Sean Kingston's "Fire Burning"), Linda Perry (Christina Aguilera's "Keeps Getting' Better") and Ryan Tedder (the man behind the controversial Beyoncé and Kelly Clarkson tracks), Lambert is writing some of his own stuff.

"For a handful of these songs, I've gotten to write on them," he says. "So I really feel I've gotten to inject a lot of this music on the album with my own personal vocal stylings and my own lyrical content. A lot of it talks about stuff I really care about and that I find interesting, so that feels really good."

In addition to his excitement about his album's debut on Nov. 24, Lambert can't wait to see Ellen DeGeneres take a on a certain verbose judge come January…

DioGuardi: Ellen DeGeneres Is So Right for Idol

More from Marc Malkin

Ellen DeGeneres may do a fine job defending herself against critics who don't think she's qualified to be a judge on American Idol, but that doesn't mean her supporters are going to sit back and let her do all the work.

"She loves the show, she loves music, and she's a star," fellow judge Kara DioGuardi says. "You got to be a star to win the show."

And she continued…

Ellen DeGeneres vs. Paula Abdul: The Seatfiller & the Wig Stealer

There's no real feud here. In fact, the prodding love between Ellen DeGeneres and Paula Abdul is enough to make our stomachs churn.

But at least the two are making us laugh.

In addition to the sugary sweet comments and tweets exchanged when the talk show host scored the "Opposites Attract" lady's seat at the American Idol judges table, the two have been exchanging mocking barbs.

Paula showed "nothing but love" when she hosted VH1 Divas last week, dancing down the aisles and doing a full-bodied impression of the comedienne.

But now, the funnylady strikes back, this time a little harder than that initial Twitter reaction.

More from Marc Malkin

If Andy Samberg were single, Kate Perry would so be trying to make him jizz in his pants.

The perky pop singer can't get enough of the Saturday Night Live funnyguy.

"Oh...my...God! I just saw Andy Samberg," Perry, 24, stuttered to me on last night's VMA red carpet. "I know he's going out with someone, but he's so hot.

"Oh...my...God," she said again. "I'm going to freak out. I'm already creaming in my panties. Oh my God!"

Ms. Perry finally did get to meet Samberg. Keep reading to find out what happened. Plus, she dished on why she had to get brutally honest when she was a guest judge for American Idol...

Oprah vs. Tyra vs. Ellen Dance-Off Really Happening

Loading...

This year, there is only one way to premiere a daytime talk show: a choreographed dance. Maybe all the reality dance competition shows are to blame—Dancing With the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, America's Best Dance Crew—or maybe America just really likes dance breaks in the middle of the afternoon?

Whatever the case, earlier this week, Tyra Banks tried out a little dance routine (again) for the premiere of her show. Yes, it was ridiculous.

It's pretty hard to watch Tyra flail around with whatever smile she calls that plastered on her face. At least Oprah was smart enough not to participate...
