Sarah Smiles: Lovin' the Gov on SNL

The Republican Veep candidate more than holds her own on the late-night laughfest

We're not going to get into whether Sarah Palin is qualified to be Veep, but she's definitely qualified for a gig on Saturday Night Live. Palin holds her own in the Alaska-style gangsta rap on Weekend Update (above), in which Amy Poehler busts a few rhymes while busting a few caps in a passing moose. And the GOP VP candidate also does a nice job in the opening skit (on the jump), crossing paths with her evil twin Tina Fey as well as Alec Baldwin.

Let us know in the comments section if she was funny enough to change any votes (or if she was up to the standards of McCain and Obama's comedy act).
