UPDATE: Bonnie Somerville's rep, David Lust, released the following statement on behalf of the actress:

"I first want to thank everyone for their overwhelming support during this time," Somerville said. "As you know, while we were walking to our car on Sunset Blvd. early Saturday morning, we were robbed at gunpoint.  As this is still under police investigation, I can't say anything more, but I can say that my friend, Burke Stuart, was shot during this incident and is in stable condition.  Please send your prayers and love to Burke and his family at this time."

A man who was walking with actress Bonnie Somerville early Saturday morning was shot in an attempted robbery after leaving the T-Mobile G1 launch party in Hollywood.

Somerville, who played Ross' girlfriend Mona on Friends, was walking on Sunset Boulevard around 2 a.m. with the victim and a female friend.

A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson tells E! "It appears the shooting occurred during an attempted robbery. Two male suspects approached a white male on foot and attempted to rob him."

According to another officer, a struggle broke out after a robber demanded Somerville's purse, and one of the suspects shot the man with a .22-caliber pistol. The robbers fled in a tan-colored sport utility vehicle without taking anything.

The unidentified victim was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he is listed in good condition and expected to survive. No one else was hurt.

Somerville's rep tells E! that "Bonnie is fine" and will issue a statement by the end of the weekend.

Other celebs at the T-Mobile party included Molly Sims, Brittany Snow, Mischa Barton and 90210 stars Jessica Stroup, Adam Gregory and Ryan Eggold.
