France Hepped Up on Hopper

He creeped us out in Blue Velvet. Employed an god-awful accent in 24. Nearly blew up Keanu Reeves in Speed. And flirted with Oscar in Easy Rider and Hoosiers.
But now Dennis Hopper's done something really impressive—he's won over the French.
Following in the esteemed footsteps of, um, Jerry Lewis, Hopper was today named a commander in the French Legion of Honor.
As Hopper might say, c'est magnfique, man.
