Just one day after her passing, some details of Amy Winehouse's death are beginning to emerge.

According to her rep, the singer was alone in her bed when she passed away on Saturday...

Winehouse's friend and publicist, Chris Goodman, told the U.K. newspaper The Sun about the circumstances surrounding the discovery of her body at home Saturday.

"Amy was on her own at home apart from a security guard who we had appointed to help look after her over the past couple of years. She was in her bedroom after saying she wanted to sleep and when he went to wake her he found she wasn't breathing. He called the emergency services straight away. He was very shocked. At this stage no one knows how she died. She died alone in bed," Goodman told the paper.

According to the publication, medics said Winehouse had been dead for several hours when her lifeless body was discovered in her London home Saturday afternoon.

The late singer had reportedly just spoken to her security team at 10 a.m. that morning, and she had a favorable examination with her doctor Friday night.
