Maybe for his next caper, Batman will face off against Troy Polamalu's hair...

Filmmaker Christopher Nolan today announced that he plans to shoot his highly anticipated trilogy-capper, The Dark Knight Rises, in Pittsburgh.

So when do cameras roll?

The production gets going in July.

"Pittsburgh is a beautiful city," Nolan said in a statement. "We have been able to find everything we were looking for here, and I am excited to spend the summer in Pittsburgh with our final installment of Batman."

Cameras will roll for four to six weeks in the city as Warner Bros. and producers take advantage of Pennsylvania's generous tax credits.

Aside from location shooting in Pittsburgh, Dark Knight Rises is also scheduled to return to its old haunt of Chicago, which doubled for Gotham in 2008's The Dark Knight, as well as Romania and England.

Christian Bale is set to reprise the title role, joined by franchise vets Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman. New to the cast is Anne Hathaway, playing Selina Kyle/Catwoman, along with a couple of stars from Nolan's Inception: Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tom Hardy.

The film is due out in July 2012.
