Steve-O would probably rather be stuck in a Porta-John rather than the joint. But that's where the Jackass prankster found himself over the weekend.

The professional goofball was taken into custody last night in Canada as he deplaned at Calgary International Airport.

So what's the problem?

Customs officials determined there was an eight-year-old outstanding warrant out for his arrest (under his real name, Stephen Glover). Per TMZ, the warrant stems from a 2003 incident in which the 36-year-old, recently rehabbed stunt performer allegedly assaulting someone.

Glover, who was in town for stand-up shows at the Laugh Shop, was briefly jailed and then brought before a judge, who released him after he posted $10,000 bail (all in Canadian cash).

No word on the identity of Steve-O's alleged victim, but the tattooed former Dancing With the Stars contestant is accused of committing his assault using an unknown object.

A Jackass stunt gone wrong, perhaps?

There was no immediate comment from either Steve-O's rep or lawyer. Because Steve-O is on probation in Los Angeles for a felony cocaine charge, we are also checking with the D.A. to see if this would somehow constitute a violation. No word back yet.

His next court date in the Canadian case is scheduled for May.
