Paris Hilton on Elizabeth Taylor: "She Was Always So Sweet to Me"

Heiress pays tribute to the late actress, who was married to her grand-uncle

Plenty of people, and rightfully so, expressed their feelings yesterday upon hearing the news that Elizabeth Taylor had passed away.

But Paris Hilton, in particular, had a bit of a family connection to the late screen icon. After all, it was her grand-uncle, Nicholas Conrad "Nicky" Hilton Jr., who was the very first of Taylor's many husbands.

"So sad to hear about Elizabeth Taylor. She was so beautiful, such an inspiration and an icon," Paris tweeted. "She was an amazing humanitarian and brought smiles to everyone around the world. She was always so sweet to me and I will really miss her. I've always loved this picture of her and Nicky Hilton. They were such a stunning couple."
