Transformers 3 just can't shake its bad luck streak.

A week after being targeted in a lawsuit over an onset stunt mishap, the seemingly cursed production is dealing with another unscripted accident.

And this time, there are cops involved.

A yellow Camaro doubling for Autobot hero Bumblee walloped a real-live Washington, D.C., police Tahoe driven by a bomb technician rushing to inspect a suspicious package on 3rd Street.

That area of the Washington Mall had been closed for filming, but the cops apparently had their radio frequencies mixed up.

A source confirmed to E! News that the production had established a perimeter for the filming and that the technician accidentally drove through the set.

The scene was supposed to involve damage to a Deception Corvette. Instead, the D.C. officer, his truck, and the stuntman behind the wheel of Bumblebee suffered minor injuries.

Bumblebee, meanwhile, appeared to be fine. (Though he might need a refresher in which cars are the good guys...)

The studio had no comment on the mishap, but it's the latest bit of misfortune to plague the sequel.

Last month, an extra suffered brain damage when a tow cable snapped during shooting in Indiana, temporarily halting production. Although Paramount has promised to pay for her medical bills, the women's family filed suit last week seeking unspecified damages, even though

The film itself first made the wrong kind of headlines when franchise star Megan Fox dropped out following a dispute with director Michael Bay.
