The Penn is off the Wright.

A Marin County judge has signed off on Sean Penn and Robin Wright's divorce, officially ending their now 14-year union.

Call it the split that stuck.

Wright first filed for divorce in December 2007, but the State of Grace costars withdrew the paperwork in April 2008.

Penn was back in court asking for a legal separation in April 2009, but their breakup plans were again foiled by an apparent reconciliation the following month.

It was Wright's lawyer who trekked back to the courthouse last August, when she filed for divorce a second time, citing irreconcilable differences (a tendency toward indecision doesn't appear to be one of them) as the cause.

Their split became official on July 27.

This was the second marriage for both Penn and Wright. They have a 19-year-old daughter and a 16-year-old son together and will share custody of the boy.
