With this year's Emmy Award nominations now out, the famous folks lucky enough to receive one (or more!) are sharing their thoughts and feelings about being up for TV's highest honor, with many lacing their heartfelt appreciations with the kind of humor that got them here in the first place.

Tina Fey, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for 30 Rock: "This is great and exciting news. Also, this seems like an appropriate time for me to announce to NBC that I will not be renewing my contract…with my gym."

Fey also gave a shoutout to the nod her show received for Outstanding Comedy Series: "This is great news. We're grateful and excited. Especially since today is the fifth anniversary of the day NBC forgot to cancel us."

Neil Patrick Harris, nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for How I Met Your Mother as well as for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for Glee: "They announce the nominations so early in the morning, that this year I just stayed up all night and had an Emmy rave. So I must say, I'm deeply honored to be nominated, and also, my hair feels so amazing!"

Ryan Seacrest, nominated for Outstanding Host of a Reality or Reality-Competition Program for American Idol as well as for serving as executive producer on Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution, which received a nomination for Outstanding Reality Series: "I am honored that the Academy chose to recognize my work on American Idol and Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution—two projects that I am deeply devoted to. Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution has inspired so many Americans affected by obesity while American Idol has inspired millions to go after their dreams. I feel lucky to have been part of such moving programming and it has been an incredible experience to contribute to both shows."

Julia Louis-Dreyfus, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for the recently cancelled The New Adventures of Old Christine: "I was relieved to see that the Academy spelled my name right and as I am now a free agent, Lebron [James] and I will be announcing our plans later this evening."

Alec Baldwin, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for 30 Rock: "Once again, I am grateful and delighted to be nominated. And I am deeply indebted to Tina [Fey], Robert Carlock, Lorne [Michaels], Marci Klein and Jeff Zucker."

Elizabeth Mitchell, nominated for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for Lost: "I'm shocked. And so happy. I loved Juliet so much. The nomination is a wonderful way to say goodbye."

Glenn Close, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Damages: "I congratulate all my fabulous category sisters, Rosie my partner in crime and Lily and Marty, who are brilliant. I'm so proud to be a part of this show. Our extraordinary writers have consistently challenged and inspired the entire Damages team."

Kristin Chenoweth, nominated for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for Glee: "I'm so grateful that Ryan Murphy created such a wonderful guest starring role for me. I'm very honored to be nominated alongside my fellow nominees. This is a very exciting day for Glee. I'm so proud of everyone."

Toni Collette, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for The United States of Tara: "I am thrilled and honored to be nominated, and it is a great thing for our show."

Ricky Gervais on The Ricky Gervais Show being nominated for Outstanding Animated Program: "I have seen a man walk on the moon, England win the World Cup and an African-American become president of the United States. If Karl Pilkington wins an Emmy, anything is possible."

Edie Falco, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Nurse Jackie: "Working on Nurse Jackie has been a joy from the get-go. I'm beyond thrilled that people are enjoying it and noticing it as well. It's an embarrassment of riches."

Jane Krakowski, nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for 30 Rock: "This is such exciting news! It is such an honor to be included in this group of funny talented women! I am indebted to Tina Fey and the greatest comedy writing team on television. I am going to celebrate by eating a piece of cheese. Just kidding designers, I promise, no cheese will cross these lips or hips until after the ceremony."

Conan O'Brien, whose brief Tonight Show stint did not go unrecognized this morning: "Congrats to my staff on 4 Emmy nominations. This bodes well for the future of The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien."
