Apprarently Snoop Dogg is too smokin', even for the Netherlands.

The wacky-tobacky-friendly country has banned the rapper from performing at a free June 27 outdoor concert in The Hague.

Fo' shizzle?

According to Dutch News, justice ministry officials as well as the city's mayor and police pressured promoters of the Parkpop festival to nix Tha Doggfather rapper from its lineup to preserve the "open and friendly character" of the festival, whose bill also includes German pop legend Nena ("99 Red Balloons") and actress-turned-singer Juliette Lewis.

Organizers dropped the bad news via Parkpop's website and said they were searching for a new headliner.

The event touts itself as the largest, free family festival in Europe. Pretty ironic considering Snoop is something of a family-friendly guy here in the U.S., having formed his own youth football league.

Of course, there are some other extracurriculars that may have caused Snoop to be dinged.

He was initially barred from the U.K. two years ago due to his past run-ins with the law, including getting into a 2006 tussle with police at London's Heathrow Airport. He also made headlines for a series of gun and drug charges in California and received three years' probation in 2007, prompting Australia to prohibit him from performing there.

But the 38-year-old Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, is a regular visitor to the Netherlands and tends to book annual gigs in the country for obvious reaons, given it happens to be a place where the chronic is practically a national pasttime and is sold openly in cafes.

"Snoop Dogg is astonished by the decision of the Mayor of The Hague, a town in the south of Holland, to not allow him to perform at the free festival, Parkpop," the rapper's rep said in a statement to E! News, calling all of his festival performances around the world "open and friendly."

"Mojo, the largest concert promoter in Holland says, 'We have never had any issues with Snoop, who has played magnificent shows at many of the festivals we promote such as Lowlands, North Sea Jazz and at several other promoted shows by Mojo.'

"Snoop is a mainstay at music festivals all over the world and has performed at all of these without incident."

While the cuss-happy "Drop It Like It's Hot" MC has been on the sidelines this week supporting his beloved Lakers in the NBA championship, he's still planning to cross the pond for a headlining show at the Couleur Café Festival in Brussels on June 26, followed by dates in Amsterdam, Paris, Zurich, Cork and Dublin.
