Ryan Seacrest is sitting down for a change today...on Ellen DeGeneres' hot seat.
Trading places with the American Idol host on her daytime talk show, the crooning contest's newest judge grills Seacrest on his chest-thumping face-offs with Simon Cowell.
"What is going on this year?" asks Ellen about the duo's escalating tension.
"Same thing that has been going on every year," replies Ryan.
But he does admit to amping up the tension: "They built this great little bridge—it used to be like a moat—between the stage and the judges table. But now there is this bridge...sometimes it is hard to hear in there, so I approached 'the bench' a few times, which makes him really uncomfortable. Which makes me happy."
Add talking smack to the list of reasons these two guys don't get along.
