Tiger Woods wasn't just whistling "Dixie" in Mississippi.

A source confirms to E! News that the beleaguered golfer did indeed check into Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services in Hattiesburg, and was enrolled there at least as of last Friday.

"Yes, he was there," the source said.

Whether or not Woods is being treated for a sex addiction, as author Benoit Denizet-Lewis insisted on the Early Show yesterday, remains unconfirmable.

Our insider says that all Pine Grove employees sign strict confidentiality agreements to maintain patient privacy. Therefore, "everyone is very paranoid and afraid to say anything."

An eyewitness told E! News last Friday that she had spotted Woods at Hattiesburg-Bobby L. Chain Municipal Airport on Jan. 11.
