Weezer will step in while Blink-182 takes a timeout.

Still reeling from the sudden death of pal DJ AM, the reunited alt-punk rockers, who presided over a moment of silence at their Saturday show, have canceled tonight's concert in Saratoga, N.Y.

"Due to circumstances surrounding the unfortunate and untimely passing of our dear friend Adam 'DJ AM Goldstein, blink-182 will not be playing tonight in Saratoga, NY at [Saratoga Performing Arts Center]," the band wrote on their MySpace page.

"Performances by Weezer, Taking Back Sunday and Chester French will take place as planned along with some special surprises. We thank all of our fans for their support in this tough time."

The news does not come as a surprise, considering the especially close ties between DJ AM and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.

Bassist-singer Mark Hoppus twittered his apologies this afternoon: "Saratoga, our sincerest apologies that we have to cancel tonight. We didn't know until late this afternoon."

DJ AM was found dead in his Tribeca apartment Friday afternoon. As for the cause, a spokeswoman for the New York City Medical Examiner's Office told E! News today, "We have ruled nothing in and we have ruled nothing out."
