Public Spared From Gary Coleman Bowling Depo

Gary Coleman's latest taped appearance is not ready for prime time.

A Utah judge ruled Tuesday that a videotaped deposition Coleman gave after being sued by a guy he roughed up at a bowling alley will not be released until the personal-injury lawsuit is settled.

"I do not want to come in here and have the whole jury challenged off," said Fourth District Judge Samuel McVey, who agreed with the defense that a fair trial might not be possible if people were privy to Coleman's Q&A session.

The Diff'rent Strokes star pleaded no contest in December to disorderly conduct and reckless driving for allegedly bumping his truck into fellow kegler Colt Rushton after Rushton attempted to snap some pics of Coleman, 41, and wife Shannon Price. The reckless driving charge will be scrapped if the actor can stay out of trouble for a year.

Rushton sued Coleman less than two weeks after their September run-in.
