Well, this sounds hot.

Johnny Depp is in talks to star with Angelina Jolie in The Tourist, a remake of a French thriller in which Depp would play an American abroad who gets swept up in an Interpol agent's web of intrigue as she tracks down a fugitive who used to be her lover, according to Variety.

And we feel sorry for any guy who incurs Jolie's wrath.

Sam Worthington, the Australian star of James Cameron's upcoming 3-D spectacle, Avatar, had been slated to play the titular tourist, but recently dropped out, along with director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, who helmed the Oscar-winning The Lives of Others.

This isn't The Tourist's first casting shakeup, either. Tom Cruise and Charlize Theron were originally set to give chase in the lead roles before scheduling snafus got in the way.

We don't know about you, but we're liking the sound, not to mention the look, of this switcheroo.

After much anticipation, the first trailer for Angelina Jolie's upcoming action flick, Salt, has been released and, well, we can't understand a damn thing anybody's saying.

Apparently the good folks over at Columbia Pictures thought it would be a good idea to have the first look at the movie be a Russian-dubbed version, perhaps as a way to play up the whole "Is Angie's CIA officer really a Russian sleeper spy?" angle.

Then again, hearing the actress speaking in a foreign accent is a bit sexy and, let's face it, we don't exactly watch these kinds of movies for the stellar dialogue.

When it's all said and done, we just wanna see stuff blow up. And you certainly don't need a translator for that.

How does one choose between Brad Pitt and Rosie O'Donnell?

We're not sure we know (or want to know), but, at some point, Angelina Jolie was faced with that conflict. At least, according to Rosie.

The talk show icon blabbed to Howard Stern on Sirius XM radio about a time before she was married to Kelli Carpenter and Angelina had tied the knot with Billy Bob Thornton. A romance, she claimed, was a-bloomin'.

"She gave me her phone number," Rosie said. "We talked on the phone two or three times, but that was that. There was a tentative plan to have dinner that never came through."

Fear got the best of Rosie and she wasn't able to seal the deal.

"I was a little afraid of her," she said. "She's scary in a sexual kind of way. I have dreams about her a lot still."

We'd say "TMI," but our jaws are still on the floor.

The erstwhile Lara Croft isn't the only bone the flower picked during the interview. She also offered some insight into the rocky state of affairs of her marriage, as well as her thoughts on the relationship between Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King.

She always struck us as more of a Versace gal, but Angelina Jolie is taking a theatrical, if not sartorial, step toward Gucci, signing on to star in a drama chronicling the decadent highs and murderous lows of the fashion empire.

According to Variety, Jolie will be stretching her acting muscles as the femme fatale Patrizia Reggiano, the woman who sentenced to nearly three decades behind bars for plotting the 1995 murder of ex-husband Maurizio Gucci.

The film will be set in the design house's '70s and '80s heyday, when Maurizio emerged, in the wake of a vicious power struggle, to take over the family business. Prior to the show that would relaunch the brand (courtesy of designs from Tom Ford, incidentally), Maurizio was shot dead in front of his Milan home.

Talk about one day you're in and the next you're out.

No actor has signed on to play Jolie's ill-fated love in the film, which starts production next year, though Leonardo DiCaprio has been approached by director Ridley Scott.

They'll never let us forget they are more than just pretty faces. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt took time out of their schedules on Friday to bring attention to the continuing plight of the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi refugees still living in Syria.

Jolie, a United Nations goodwill ambassador, and her significant other spent time with two different families in the Syrian capital of Damascus. They also met with Syrian president Bashar al-Assad to discuss the efforts being made toward health care and education.
