At first we thought this was that Lady Mary chick from Downton Abbey posing with a new ball gown that dear Matthew bought her for the upcoming London social season.

But nope. It's Keira Knightley, posing with a costume she wore in her period drama Anna Karenina. (Tidbit of note: The girl who plays Lady Mary was in that too.) The costume is going on display at the V&A Museum in London.

We love how Keira's fluffing the bow, as if she sat there for hours and hours pleating that thing herself. We also love the jumper and collared shirt. Together they exude a sort of apprentice-atelier vibe, like Keira really wants to study fashion, and this whole movie career thing is just a sideline until she can score a meeting with Karl Lagerfeld.

Now that is acting.
