Sex, blood and rock n' roll. That's what The Vampire Diaries is all about, baby.

OK, while we're not sure how much of that sex thing is going down in Thursday's midseason finale, but there will be rock (the band My Morning Jacket is making a pit stop). And the blood? Yeah, well, did we mention big-bad villain Klaus (Joseph Morgan) is back in town?

We chatted with Morgan at the premiere of his new film Immortals, where he dished on the CW hit series' "action-packed" midseason ender and a confrontation between Klaus and Rebekah (Claire Holt)...

"The whole season has been upping the stakes dramatically, there's more action, there's more flashbacks, they're really amping it up," Morgan teases. "The midseason finale is just going to take it to a whole new level. There's going to be a huge confrontation, blood will be shed. It's going to be action-packed."

We're thinking Rebekah will be providing all the confrontation Klaus needs when he rolls back into town considering she just learned that he was the one who killed their mother and lied about it, saying their father Mikael (Sebastian Roché) murdered her. You know the old saying: hell hath no fury than a thousand-year-old, hot vampire chick scorned.

"Look, this is a relationship that's been forged over the last thousand years and it's built on a lie because he lied to her about the fate of their mother," he says. "They're not going to skirt around the issue. That's a huge thing. She's certainly going to be upset with him."

And Rebekah isn't the only sibling Klaus has to worry about, with Morgan saying, "Heaven help him when they pull the dagger out of Elijah (Daniel Gilles) as well!" (Note to Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec: pretty please pull the dagger out already! Pretty, pretty?)

While payback may be in Klaus' immediate future, courtesy of his royally pissed-off father and sister (and currently dagger'd bro), Morgan is hoping there's also romance on the horizon for the Original hybrid. "I've been pushing them for that for a while. I love how their showing a little humanity in the writing for the character," he explains. "I feel like that's going to give him an opportunity to show a side of himself that hasn't been seen before. I really hope so."

So who would the lucky girl be if Morgan had his choice? "I have good chemistry with all the girls," he answers. "I'm open with whatever they want to do with it." Considering Klaus has tried to kill Elena (Nina Dobrev), Katherine, Caroline (Candice Accola) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) multiple times, we're thinking a newbie (or Stefan, you were thinking it, we just said it!) may be best suited for him.

To hear more from TVD's big bad Morgan, like whether or not Klaus will ever hang up his villain shoes and join the good guys, watch our video interview with him above. Then head on over to the comments and tell us what you want to see in the midseason finale. Plus, which girl do you think would be a good match for Klaus? Sound off in the comments!

The Vampire Diaries airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on the CW.
