Ever since it was reported that Adam Levine would be appearing in season two of American Horror Story, we've been on the edge of our seats waiting for some type of confirmation that this was happening. And frankly, our bottoms were starting to get numb.

Thankfully, Levine himself talked to our own Ryan Seacrest about the AHS rumors, and here's what he had to say:

"It is the truth," Levine confirms. "I mean, it's pretty much happening. I think it's happening. I don't know how much I can divulge, because Ryan [Murphy] is very under wraps."

Indeed, details about AHS' second season have been few and far between, but this is what we do know: it will be set on the east coast, possibly in a mental instution and some season-one castmembers will be returning (Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson). And now, apparently we know that Adam Levine is pretty much a lock to appear.

"It's going to be fun. And I told [Ryan] I really didn't know what I was doing but he didn't seem to really care," Levine says. "So I'm just going to go and try to [do] acting. I think I'm going to be kind of playing myself so hopefully it will be easy."

As previously reported by EW, Levine will be playing a "contemporary character" and half of the couple "The Lovers."

Hey, as long as his character involves shirtlessness, we can see past the whole "never acted on a show before" thing. Then again, we don't think Murphy would cast him in AHS if Levine didn't show some potential. "He's really great," Levine gushed. "And I love the fact that he believes in me to throw me out there."

Excited to see Adam on AHS next season? Who do you think will be playing the other lover? We will explode in cloud of happiness if it's Quinto's character.
