Strutting down the runway in sky-high stilettos takes confidence and coordination. But even seasoned veterans like model Christie Brinkley can sometimes lose their balance!

Tuesday night at the Heart Truth Red Dress Collection show to help kick of NYC's Fashion Week Fall 2012, the iconic blonde almost faceplanted when she tripped over her flowing Pamella Roland gown. Not to worry though, she kept her cool, laughing off the incident and doing a little runway dance.

"I almost fell flat on my face!" Brinkley told Women's Wear Daily backstage after the show.

Actress Rose McGowan came dangerously close to taking a tumble as well. So how did the Conan the Barbarian star recover?

Just as fabulously as you'd expect!

Looking stunning in a red single-strap Roberto Cavalli gown with a flowing train, McGowan bounced back from her trip-up with some enthusiastic dance moves. She put her arm in the air, tousled her hair, kicked her legs up dramatically and strutted to the end of the runway and back with her head held high.

The actress took her near-fall in stride, retweeting a Rev Run quote urging people not to "cheer when ppl fail or fall" but rather to "pick them up then trip u up."

Well played, ladies!
