She may not have an infamous song like "Friday," but Casey Anthony certainly knows a thing or two about infamy ever since being acquitted last July of killing her young daughter, Caylee.

Currently on probation, the barely-seen 25-year-old is now appearing everywhere via a video diary, supposedly shot in October, that has just surfaced in which Anthony shows off a decidedly different look.

A source in Anthony's camp confirms to E! News that the cropped blond who appears in the clip after the jump is indeed Casey.

"That's her," says the source. "She'd like to do more."

"It's just a little surreal how much things have changed since July and how many things haven't changed," Anthony, clearly feeling a bit awkward, says in the video. "But the good thing is that things are starting to look up and things are starting to change in a good way. I just hope that things stay good and that they only get better."

Anthony goes on to express how happy she is to have such belongings as a computer, a camera and a phone and reveals that she recently adopted a dog.

"I'm extremely excited that I'll be able to Skype and obviously keep a video log, take some pictures and finally have something to call mine," she says. "It's been a long time since I've been able to call something mine."

Throughout the nearly 4 1/2-minute clip, Anthony makes no mention of her daughter or the trial, but does discuss her probation and says she'll remain where she is hiding out "at least until the end of February."

She concludes by insisting this won't be the last time we hear from her.

"This is the first of many, and I'm looking forward to this," she says. "It's a little scary, because I hate being on camera. But I need to conquer that fear at some point, and this is a good start."
