Katy Perry will certainly be missed at the People's Choice Awards tomorrow night, but not everyone is fretting over her no-show.
"It's understandable," the shows executive producer Mark Burnett told me this morning. "Things like this happen all the time."
Besides...
"The show is so jam-packed you're thinking how are we going to fit it all in," Burnett said.
That it is. Hosted by The Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco, the night will feature performances by Demi Lovato and Faith Hill.
And as I was the first to tell you, Robert Pattinson will be making an appearance. And guess who's he sitting next to in the front row—Betty White!
How's that for a hot couple?
Glee superstars Lea Michele and Cory Monteith are also in the front row.
Hunger Games stars Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth are a few rows back with a couple of seats between them. Could one of them be for Miley Cyrus? I'm hearing she'll be there with her Aussie beau.
Cuoco will have six wardrobe changes. She hopes the People's Choice will lead to her dream hosting gig. "This is my audition for SNL," she said. "That is my ultimate goal in my career—to host SNL."
Sounds like it's time to launch a Facebook campaign, Kaley.
