A source insists they are still very much together.
The source says that the two are in extreme puppy love and a breakup is "the furthest thing from the truth you could imagine."
The false report may have come from the fact that Bieber, 18, and Gomez, 19, argue from time to time like any other young couple.
"If anything, they are tighter now more than ever," the source said.
Reps for both did not immediately comment for this story.
Bieber and Gomez were most recently spotted at Katy Perry's movie premiere in Hollywood. Not only did they watch the flick, but they also went club hopping into the wee hours that night with Robert Pattinson.
The two have been dating for about 18 months. While Bieber has been on the road lately pushing his new album, work has never gotten in the way of their relationship.
Gomez was out of the country for several weeks in the spring filming The Getaway with Ethan Hawke in Bulgaria.
