Ready to Republican-party like its 2008?!

Just in time for the 2012 presidential election, HBO is offering us a reminder of just how odd the 2008 campaign became when John McCain selected little-known Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate.

And, judging by this brand-new trailer for Game Change, premiering March 10 on HBO, we're no longer disappointed that Tina Fey didn't get the role that ended up going to Julianne Moore.

Moore pretty much is Sarah Palin.

Though Woody Harrelson, as he always does, pretty much steals the show as McCain campaign strategist Steve Schmidt, Moore nails Palin's accent, mannerisms, and—maybe, just maybe—her reservations about running for vice president of the United States.

Obviously director Jay Roach has offered up a dramatization of what went down during the final few months of the 2008 election, but if fiction resembles truth in any way...

Oh, jeez.
