We may be seeing far less of Frodo Baggins in the upcoming Hobbit flicks, but that doesn't mean Elijah Wood didn't enjoy bringing the ring-bearing hobbit back to the big screen (Wood has already reportedly wrapped up shooting on the flick).

The 30-year-old thesp, who is in the midst of promoting romantic dramedy Celeste and Jesse Forever at the Sundance Film Festival this year, took a little time to dish on the upcoming prequel to the Lord of the Rings while he was at it.

So, did Wood finally give us the scoop we've been waiting for?

Not exactly.

But, Wood did reveal what it was like to step back into the fantastical world.

"The opportunity to go back to New Zealand to play that character again…it felt like a family reunion. It felt like stepping back into time," Wood said. "I turned 19 in Hobbiton and I'm 30 now!"

Meanwhile, the film's director, Peter Jackson, who is at the festival promoting his doc, West of Memphis, let us in on exactly how much more production is left on the film for the rest of the cast and crew.

"It's going great," Jackson said. "We're probably two-thirds of the way through shooting and I go back to New Zealand in about two weeks and we start another hundred days of shooting."

The prequel to The Lord of the Rings, which is split into two films, is slated to hit theaters Dec. 14.
