Was it love at first bite for Halle Berry?
In this sneak preview at Dark Tide, the deep-water-and-even-deeper-emotions drama that brought the Oscar winner and real-life beau Olivier Martinez together, troubled boat captain Kate (Berry) lashes out at her ex, Jeff (Martinez), when he presses her to get right back in the saddle following the death of her mentor.
Only, in this case, the saddle is the ocean, where Kate used to get up close and personal with great white sharks.
"First of all, I'm not a dog, I'm a man," Jeff protests in the face of Kate's screaming. "Second of all, it's your boat, we do what you want. You want to go? Let's go."
So, Kate instructs her crew to set a course for...dun-dun-dun...Shark Alley!
"He wants to see big ones? Let's show him big ones," Kate says menacingly. "This fool's paid big money to see big sharks."
Action? Check. Pretty people? Check. Heated want-to-rip-each-other's-clothes-off chemistry between Dark Tide's costars?
That's a big fat check.
And you can bring the ocean to you: The film premieres Thursday on VOD ahead of its March 30 theatrical release, after which it'll hit DVD and Blu-ray on April 24.
