Did Jessica Simpson's beautiful belly just go belly-up in Arizona?

The so-ready-to-burst mom-to-be made a splash earlier this month when she bared it all on the cover of Elle in a pose that paid homage to Demi Moore's iconic
Vanity Fair cover.

But one retailer in the Grand Canyon State seems to think that this hot mama might be too hot for comfort...

Per Jezebel, a tipster reportedly snapped a photo of Simpson's magazine at a grocery store in Tucson that shows a makeshift piece of cardboard covering the star's breasts and burgeoning belly, leaving just her face peeking out.

Apparently, that wasn't enough to quell the store owner's modest sensibilities, because scribbled on it was this: "PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE CARDBOARD." The sign has reportedly been there for a week.

Scandal!

We doubt this little censorship flap would faze the Fashion Star mentor: C'mon, the gal recently survived a freaky face-off with a fallen tree branch and didn't seem to bat an eye!

Simpson and fiancé Eric Johnson have revealed that they're expecting a baby girl. And although they've been keeping her name under wraps, we bet they're just thrilled to the Maxwell, er max, about the newest addition to the fam.
