The Keeping Up With the Kardashians stars were addressing the large crowd when a 25-year-old woman started throwing eggs at them. E! News confirms that the woman in question has since been arrested and charged.
"Following an incident at a shopping center in Parramatta around 4:30 yesterday afternoon, a 25 year old woman from Punchbowl was arrested and taken to the Parramatta police station," a spokesperson for the New South Wales police tells E! News. "She was charged with three counts of assaulting a police officer (she assaulted three police officers in total). The police officers were trying to arrest her and she resisted. The woman was also charged with behaving in an offense manner."
The spokesperson also tells us that the woman was one of several thousand people attending the event. She threw the eggs from the upper level of the mall, but thankfully the Jenner women weren't on stage at the time of the incident. In fact, they might have missed the ordeal entirely, as Kylie tweeted, "Don't you think there would of been a video of eggs being thrown or even a pic? Just saying. If it did happen we weren't there."
Although only eggs were thrown, the spokesperson added that there was also mention of tomatoes but they could only confirm the eggs.
The alleged perpetrator has since been released from police custody but will face the local court on Dec. 14.
Despite the hoopla that took place at the event, Kendall and Kylie continued as planned. Both sisters looked gorgeous, wearing short dresses that revealed their long, toned legs. Kylie opted for a white dress and nude, strappy heels, while Kendall chose a pink mini dress with black spots and beige boots.
