Hate it or love it, Jennifer Lawrence's white Dior dress stole the show at Monday's Paris premiere of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2. But the real star of the ensemble may not have been the flowy frock or magical makeup—look a little closer at J. Law's knotted braids and you'll see a subtle shimmer, courtesy of the Dana Rebecca Designs Jennifer Yamina Necklace.

Hairstylist Jenny Cho placed the necklace, priced at $4,620, into the intricate strands for a subtle-yet-striking touch. Sure, it's not a statement piece but the necklace-turned-hair-accessory makes the difference between channeling Little House on the Prairie vibes and something much more ethereal. It's all in the details, after all.

HOW-TO: Perfect the knot braid

While our bank accounts may not be able to afford a personal glam squad or designer dainty jewelry, Lawrence's ‘do has just inspired our next holiday party hairstyle. We already know how to do simplified version of the knot braid, thanks to E! Style Collective experts and 901 Salon owners Nikki Lee and Riawna Capri. Just braid the hair down both sides of a deep part and pin into low bun. Widen the strands a bit for a lived-in, voluminous look. Then opt for an accessory with like colors as your hair to avoid looking too costume-y. Of course, if impact is what you're going for, the more sparkly the better—just make sure the chain remains on the streamlined side to avoid any hair tangling.
