Giada de Laurentiis is looking for love again, but she admits dating at this point in her life isn't as easy as it was in the past.

The famous chef opened up to People magazine about life after her divorce from ex-husband Todd Thompson—who she was married to for 11 years—including diving into the dating world.

"I haven't been in that game since I was 18 years-old," she explains. "So it's a very different game when you're 45 with a child and a career."

Luckily for de Laurentiis, she doesn't need to hop on any dating sites or apps because she already has her eye on someone else.

"I don't do any of that, and I would say that uh…it's ok that maybe I don't need to date so much because maybe I already have someone I like and I don't have to."

As we reported yesterday, de Laurentiis admitted to Wendy Williams that she is, in fact, dating again and might actually be in love!

However, she tells People that her 7-year-old daughter, Jade, comes before anything, and right now she and Thompson are focusing on out raising her after their divorce was finalized in September 2014.

"It's only been a year-and-a-half so we'll see how it goes but so far it's been pretty good," says the Los Angeles native. "I have her here with me [in New York City] for a week. It can get a little tricky but I send lots of pictures and I take lots of pictures and we actually were on the carriage ride yesterday and she was FaceTiming her dad at the same time so we sort of multitask."

The two continue to work together to make sure they're always aware of their daughter's life, even with the other parent.

"Both parents need to keep the [other] parent involved in what's happening with the child," she says. "So when the child comes back to you and they share these stories you're like ‘oh yeah, I saw that' or 'oh yeah, that was part of that'd you know what questions to ask so you're both in it."
