Emilia Clarke was noticeably absent at the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards.

The 28-year-old Game of Thrones star was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series alongside Orange Is the New Black's Uzo Aduba (who won), The Good Wife's Christine Baranski, Downton Abbey's Joanne Froggatt, Game of Thrones' Lena Headey and Mad Men's Christina Hendricks.

Clarke, who was nominated in the same category in 2013, explained her absence via Instagram Sunday. "I think I might be late for the Emmys... How far is it from Spain?" she wrote in the caption, adding, "#rollingwithoutmyhomies #workin'mother #wheresdrogonwhenyouneedhim #bringitonhomegot!"

Indeed, the actress is busy filming the HBO series' upcoming sixth season.

Clarke was at the doctor's office in July when she got a call informing her that she had received an individual nomination among the series' 24 Emmy nominations.

"It was a very embarrassing moment. There's a lovely British girl waiting in the doctor's office, and you've got the best news ever, and you're very excited and a bit loud on the phone. All you want to do is just scream and shout, and you have all these people glaring at you thinking, 'What is that woman on?'" Clarke recalled during an interview with The Los Angeles Times in July. "So, yeah, I had to try and contain my excitement for that moment. But it was pretty brilliant nonetheless."

The actress also praised her colleagues, saying, "It's amazing and so deserved."

Game of Thrones won 12 Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series. Peter Dinklage also won the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, and Clarke—who shared the screen with the actor for the first time during the show's fifth season—had faith he would do just that. "He's just like the cool kid," she said in July. "Everyone wants to hang out with Peter. He is the popular kid at school. They're like, 'Oh, my God, Peter cracked a joke at me today.' And then you get to hear from the other departments how much fun it is to film with him, and then you do film with him and you're like, 'It's true! It's so much fun.' He's so funny and charming and gorgeous and talented. Every now and again, you meet actors who just literally make days brighter, and Peter is exactly that person."

Though Clarke missed Amy Schumer photobombing the Game of Thrones cast, there's one thing she didn't miss on the Emmys red carpet: the unbearable heat.
