Kate Hudson may have just accomplished two of our girlhood fantasies at once: Being a ballerina and donning many, many pairs of Jimmy Choo heels.

The actress stars in the celeb-loved shoe designer's fall 2015 campaign, with ads that hark to her childhood dream of being a ballerina. And the campaign is just that: Ultra-dreamy, with sexy lace-tie heels, little red flats and plenty of must-have ankle booties (we can bet on seeing more than a few stars wearing them soon).

Seriously, these ads are gorgeous. We almost didn't know where to look first (okay, it was definitely at the pair of ruby, tulle-adorned sandals pictured below).

Kate opened up to the brand about her style influences, early dancing ambitions and fashion memories with mom Goldie Hawn in an interview accompanying the shoot, and the star's answers reveal that playing ballerina wasn't so much of an acting job.

"I grew up dancing," she said. "My mom put me in dance classes since I was three years old and I did ballet up until 12 before she allowed me to take more types of dance, like lyrical. I wasn't allowed to skip class, I just knew I had to go. If you have that kind of discipline as a kid it sort of translates to everything. Dancing really connected me to my body in terms of understanding what my body needs. The beautiful thing about dance is you have this intense discipline and once you have that foundation, you can feel free and let go."

Turns out that mama Goldie laid that foundation for Kate's Bohemian-meets-Old Hollywood glam style aesthetic.

"I was a little girl and I went with my mom to a fitting with Bob Mackie for a special she was working on," Kate dished. "She was in his studio and there was fabric and sequins everywhere. I was in awe, it was like being in a little fashion dream! I remember he made me a package of little sequin bow pins, in all different colors. There were about ten in the package he made me, and it was a moment I will never forget because I was so excited."

She also gives the scoop on her favorite red carpet moments over the years (surprise—they pretty much match up with our picks for her, too): "For red carpet, I really loved the Versace I wore to the Golden Globes this year and the gold Versace I wore to the Oscars in 2003. I also loved the Valentino print I wore to the Golden Globes in 2003 and the McQueen I wore to the Globes in 2013."

We leave you with Kate being (simply, perfectly) Kate—in a pair of red ballet flats, of course.
