Yee-haw!

Tom Hiddleston is looking country hot in the first image released from his upcoming Hank Williams biopic I Saw the Light.

In the pic, a clean-cut Hiddleston is wearing a large cowboy hat and a wine-colored suit jacket with a crisp white shirt and blue necktie.

In the movie, the British actor stars as the late country and western singer, who died in 1953 when he was just 29 years old of heart failure after battling prescription pill and alcohol abuse.

"Everything about it was challenging," the Thor actor told me last month at Comic Con. "I'm obviously not from the American South, not born in [1923] and I'm not a country singer. But it was thrilling. It was a really thrilling role to play…I think it's completely different from anything I've ever done."

Elizabeth Olsen costars as Williams' wife. Written and directed by Marc Abraham, I Saw the Light's cast also includes Cherry Jones and Bradley Whitford.

The film is set for a limited release on Nov. 27.
