Henry Cavill once suffered what we can only imagine to be pretty embarrassing—he got an erection at a really inconvenient time.

Although we can't really blame him—he was filming a sex scene—that doesn't take away from his humiliation. Appearing on the September cover of Men's Fitness, the Man of Steel star reveals he had to say his sorry for getting a little turned on while filming a scene for The Tudors.

"It's only happened to me once, and it was very embarrassing," he admits to the magazine. "A girl had to be on top of me, she had spectacular breasts, and I hadn't rearranged my—stuff into a harmless position. She's basically rubbing herself all over me and, um, it got a bit hard."

Hey, if you're going to be honest about an embarrassing moment, you might as well give us all the details! Although maybe there was a bit of TMI, but he tried to make things right with the actress.

"I had to apologize profusely afterward," he adds. "It's not great when you're in a professional acting environment and somebody gets a boner, is it? No, not acceptable."

Even though, as viewers, we only see the final outcome, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. actor explains how awkward filming intimate moments really is, as there are so many people in the room watching!

"You don't think of sex scenes as showing your bum to the nation," he explains. "It's actually acutely uncomfortable being naked in a roomful of people. The very last thing it is is sexy. The actual physicality is very uncomfortable. All you're doing is smacking your nuts against someone, and nothing is going in."

Even though Cavill is single and ready to mingle, the British actor tells the magazine he doesn't enjoy "American dating" because it involves too many people at once.

"American dating is like carpet bombing," he says. "You date 16 women all at once and eventually one of them is supposed to pop out of the crowd? I can't do that. I'm 32 years old. I do want to find a wife and raise a family. I prefer the British way: get talking and see what happens, one at a time."
